Development and demonstrators of durable biobased composites for a marine environment
The aim of the project is to develop formulations, processes and equipment for the production of thermoplastic biocomposites pilot products, which meet the specific requirements for marine applications and which bring important environmental advantages. The enhanced technology transfer will lead to smart industrial specialisation in environment and marine technologies, including the implementation of the digital approach through additive production.
About the Research, technological development and innovation objective
Thematic Objective 1 of the 2014–2020 Cohesion period funds research, technological development and innovation. It supports R&D infrastructure, technology transfer, business-academia partnerships and pilot lines that close the gap between scientific discovery and market application across EU regions.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.5M toward a total project cost of €4.1M — a co-funding rate of 60%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
