Rural regions of the programme area are facing common development challenges, such as diminished economic activity, unemployment, migration of young adults and population ageing, ultimately leading to poverty and social exclusion. These are the areas, where traditional agriculture still plays an important role, but despite that leaving local resources unexploited. About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €705k toward a total project cost of €829k — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
