Advancing Conservation: A science and technology platform for the preservation of cultural heritage in the German-Danish border region

The main purpose of the adCON project is to technologically promote and support preventive conservation methods and identify environmental improvements that can mitigate and finally prevent future damage to selected regional art and heritage collections. In the Danish-German border region, the individual conservators of the cultural heritage are insufficiently linked to scientific institutions. About the Research, technological development and innovation objective

Thematic Objective 1 of the 2014–2020 Cohesion period funds research, technological development and innovation. It supports R&D infrastructure, technology transfer, business-academia partnerships and pilot lines that close the gap between scientific discovery and market application across EU regions.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €56k toward a total project cost of €75k — a co-funding rate of 75%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
