Cancers are the second most common cause of death in children. With conventional treatment methods, it is hardly possible to improve the chances of healing. This requires the use of highly specialised procedures, e.g. treatment with radioisotopes/immunotherapies as well as improved diagnostics. These services can only be provided by highly specialised facilities.
