Maximised Mobility and Accessibility of Services in Regions Affected by Demographic Change
With shrinking populations in many rural areas around the Baltic Sea region, it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep up public transport and services that depend on mobility, such as home care or home deliveries. The MAMBA project aims to improve the integration of existing mobility structures with innovative transport solutions, such as mobility as a service (MaaS), transport on demand (ToD), and ride sharing applications to overcome these difficulties. Thematic Objective 7 funds sustainable transport and network infrastructure: TEN-T core-network completion, rail electrification, urban mobility, ports and inland-waterway upgrades.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.7M toward a total project cost of €3.5M — a co-funding rate of 77%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
