Mobile Stroke Unit
Stroke is a leading cause of death or disability in adults in the program region. A fast response and diagnosis is key to ensure the best possible treatment outcome as every minute costs valuable brain capacity and decreases chances for an independent life after a stroke. There are several challenges, such as long distances between patient and hospitals and cooperation between e.g. hospitals that may prolong the time from stroke to treatment. About the Research, technological development and innovation objective
Thematic Objective 1 of the 2014–2020 Cohesion period funds research, technological development and innovation. It supports R&D infrastructure, technology transfer, business-academia partnerships and pilot lines that close the gap between scientific discovery and market application across EU regions.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €99k toward a total project cost of €132k — a co-funding rate of 75%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
