Firefighters in the Poland-Saxony borderland stands for innovative fire and rescue equipment, developing economy, and effectiveness vis-à-vis human migration

The purpose of the project is to establish a system protecting the inhabitants, nature, industrial parks, combating effects of disasters and catastrophes, and enabling permanent exchange of experiences. Theoretical and practical training is planned for firefighters in case of different catastrophes, with the involvement of auxiliary services; new equipment (fire engines) will be provided; meetings will be held with children, during which they will learn how to react to threats and to appropriately care for the natural environment. Thematic Objective 11 supports more efficient public administration — capacity building of public bodies, anti-corruption measures, judicial-reform support, e-administration.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €1.6M toward a total project cost of €1.9M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
