The overall objective of the project (SMID Ilfov – Component 1) is to increase the standard of living of the population and to improve the quality of the environment, by optimising the waste management system in accordance with the legislative requirements in the field, the provisions of the circular economy package and the commitments undertaken by the environmental sector. About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €19.8M toward a total project cost of €23.3M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
