The overall objective of the project is to increase the degree of safety and security on the road infrastructure, by implementing a concept of integrated ground-air action and strengthening the capabilities and increasing the capacity of the Romanian Police to prevent, intervene, monitor and manage road traffic. Thematic Objective 7 funds sustainable transport and network infrastructure: TEN-T core-network completion, rail electrification, urban mobility, ports and inland-waterway upgrades.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €47.9M toward a total project cost of €56.4M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
