The CirkArena project focuses on the circular economy, which is a key part of the EU Green Deal and is represented by the EU Circular Economy Action Plan, which will help modernise the EU economy and seize the opportunities offered by the transition to a circular economy. Achieving the circular economy objectives will require the full mobilisation of industry, for which this opportunity means, inter alia, expanding sustainable economic activities leading to job creation. For its new activities, the industry needs to work as closely as possible with research institutes such as CirkArena.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €67.9M toward a total project cost of €79.9M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
Kohesio is the European Commission's open-data platform for projects co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund Plus, the Cohesion Fund and the Just Transition Fund. It draws on lists of beneficiaries published by national managing authorities and harmonises them into a single EU-wide view.
