Rehabilitation and modernisation of shipping infrastructure in ports outside the TEN-T network - Port Corabia-Phase II
The overall objective of the project is to increase the quantity of goods operated in Danube ports, thus contributing to the result indicator. The use of inland waterway transport leads to reduced transport costs. By attracting freight traffic from the road transport mode, the project contributes to reducing the negative effects of road transport, respectively to reducing the number and impact of road accidents and to reducing CO2 emissions. The general objective is to complete phase 2 of the project, namely the modernization of the port infrastructure in the Corabia Port area.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €16.8M toward a total project cost of €33.7M — a co-funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
