Purchase of rolling stock, in particular articulated trams, for use on line 15 E
This operation aims to strengthen the public service tram fleet of CARRIS, the main operator of surface public transport in the city of Lisbon. The aim is to increase the capacity to respond to existing demand along the axis of the Lisbon riverside area and to sustain the extension of this high-capacity public transport system both to the west and east, contributing to decarbonisation and energy transition.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €29.5M toward a total project cost of €34.7M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
