Energy upgrading and automation of the Street Lighting system of the Municipality of Athens The action covers part of the electric lighting system of Public Spaces Street Lighting of the Municipality in streets and squares and throughout its geographical area The aim of the action is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as a result of energy savings as well as to reduce the cost for street lighting The action contributes to the achievement of the objectives of the NECP through the reduction of energy consumption and the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions
