Valorization of the Orient site in Tournai
Development of the site of the Orient quarry in Tournai into a high-quality landscape and nature-recreation park by strengthening and developing its attractiveness through immersive landscaping, preserving the city’s environmental characteristics and its role as a green lung, and structuring and developing traffic roads to open up the site to the city by improving connections to and movement within the site.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.1M toward a total project cost of €5.2M — a co-funding rate of 40%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
