EDIRE aims to create a networking collaboration between the University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST) and four renowned research institutions in France, Italy, Ireland and Spain, with the final aim of increasing SSST research profile, boosting its research capacity especially in the field of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion EDI. Research on EDI is almost totally unaddressed in BA, therefore EDIRE will contribute in introducing a new lines of research SSST in such strategic topics for the quality of research. About Horizon Europe (2021–2027)
Horizon Europe is the EU's current research and innovation programme, covering 2021 to 2027 with a budget of roughly €95.5 billion. Its three pillars are Excellent Science (frontier research and mobility), Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness (mission-driven collaborative projects in health, climate, digital, security and food) and Innovative Europe (the EIC and EIT). It also funds five EU Missions targeting cancer, climate adaptation, smart cities, oceans and soils.
EU contribution: €1.5M awarded to the consortium. The project runs over approximately 3.2 years from 2022-09-01 to 2025-10-31.
