INVECTA Integrative characterisation of Novel adenovirus VECtors aimed at Therapeutic Applications

Coordinator: RUDER BOSKOVIC INSTITUTE (HR)

Adenovirus based vectors have potential translational and commercial values and are studied as vectors for gene transfer and vaccination . Low seroprevalence adenoviruses are efficacious platforms for vector design, warranting their thorough investigation. Therefore, the main objective of INVECTA is to establish a collaborative effort for the study of scientific problems related to development of novel low seroprevalence adenovirus based vectors aimed at their therapeutic usage, with an emphasis on training both experienced and early stage researchers in adenovirus research, as well as establ…

About Horizon Europe (2021–2027)

Horizon Europe is the EU's current research and innovation programme, covering 2021 to 2027 with a budget of roughly €95.5 billion. Its three pillars are Excellent Science (frontier research and mobility), Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness (mission-driven collaborative projects in health, climate, digital, security and food) and Innovative Europe (the EIC and EIT). It also funds five EU Missions targeting cancer, climate adaptation, smart cities, oceans and soils.

0 EU contribution: €198k awarded to the consortium. The project runs over approximately 4 years from 2023-12-01 to 2027-11-30.
