5NETSAT 5G NTN SATELLITE DIRECT TO MOBILE IN-ORBIT DEMONSTRATION

OQ Technology proposes a European 5G non-terrestrial network (NTN) satellite direct-to-mobile communication service based on the 3GPP standards. Through this grant, OQ Technology intends to demonstrate the proposed solution through an In-Orbit Demonstration satellite mission providing SMS and emergency services for direct-to-mobile based on the 5G 3GPP standards. This shall allow OQ Technology to be the first European player to make a huge social impact in connecting the unconnected globally and saving millions of lives by enabling satellite-based SMS and emergency services on the smartphones…
About Horizon Europe (2021–2027)
Horizon Europe is the EU's current research and innovation programme, covering 2021 to 2027 with a budget of roughly €95.5 billion.
