Treble The virtual sound platform of the future

Coordinator: TREBLE TECHNOLOGIES EHF (IS)

Today, it is challenging to simulate how products – cars, audio equipment, buildings, wind turbines, hearing aids, etc – will sound. The same limitation applies to simulating and rendering sound for virtual spaces, i.e., virtual reality, metaverse, video games and augmented reality. We have developed a disruptive sound simulation technology based on an entirely new paradigm (“wave-based” methods versus traditional “ray tracing” methods). This technology opens a vast array of new opportunities in engineering design and metaverse applications. We offer a ground-breaking cloud-based sound simula…

About Horizon Europe (2021–2027)

Horizon Europe is the EU's current research and innovation programme, covering 2021 to 2027 with a budget of roughly €95.5 billion. Its three pillars are Excellent Science (frontier research and mobility), Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness (mission-driven collaborative projects in health, climate, digital, security and food) and Innovative Europe (the EIC and EIT). It also funds five EU Missions targeting cancer, climate adaptation, smart cities, oceans and soils.

Co-funding: the European Union contributes €2.5M toward a total project budget of €4.3M — a funding rate of 58%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 1.5 years from 2023-01-01 to 2024-06-30.
