PLATINA Platform for the implementation of NAIADES

PLATINA is a coordination and support action aimed at the promotion of inland waterway transport (IWT). The main objective of PLATINA is to support the Commission, Member States and third countries in the implementation of the NAIADES action programme. This will be achieved by providing technical, organisational and financial support for targeted policy actions and by building on strong interrelations with existing expert groups, projects and initiatives. About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)
The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.
EU contribution: €8.3M awarded to the consortium. The project runs over approximately 4.4 years from 2008-06-02 to 2012-11-01.
