ITESLA Innovative Tools for Electrical System Security within Large Areas

6 Transmission System Operators (Belgium, France, Greece, Norway, Portugal and United Kingdom) and CORESO, a TSO coordination centre, together with 13 RTD performers propose a 4 year R&D project to develop and to validate an open interoperable toolbox which will bring support, by 2015, to future operations of the pan-European electricity transmission network, thus favouring increased coordination/harmonisation of operating procedures among network operators. About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)
The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €13.2M toward a total project budget of €19.4M — a funding rate of 68%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 4.2 years from 2012-01-01 to 2016-03-31.
