BALTINFECT Unlocking infectious diseases research potential at Riga Stradins University

The project aims at unlocking the research potential in the area of infectious, immunological and rare diseases at Riga Stradins University by establishing two new laboratories: a digital immunological visualisation laboratory and an infectious diseases modelling laboratory, and by up-scaling research personnel capacity by employing experienced incoming researchers. About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)
The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €2.0M toward a total project budget of €2.3M — a funding rate of 90%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 3.5 years from 2013-09-01 to 2017-02-28.
