GARPUR Generally Accepted Reliability Principle with Uncertainty modelling and through probabilistic Risk assessment

Power system reliability management means to take decisions under increasing uncertainty (for instance, related to renewable generation). It aims to maintain power system performance at a desired level, while minimizing the socio-economic costs of keeping the power system at that performance level. Seven TSOs (Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Iceland, Norway), together with eleven RTD performers, propose the four year GARPUR research project. About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)
The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.
EU contribution: €7.8M awarded to the consortium. The project runs over approximately 4.2 years from 2013-09-01 to 2017-10-31.
