LTFCOFUND2013 Supporting transnational mobility within the European life sciences by cofunding of the EMBO Fellowship Programme

Coordinator: EUROPEAN MOLECULAR BIOLOGY ORGANIZATION (CH)

The EMBO Fellowship Programme supports transnational mobility and scientific exchange in all areas of the life sciences. Renowned for its commitment to scientific excellence, the programme has funded thousands of talented early career scientists since its establishment in the 1960s. EMBO Long-Term Fellowships support advanced research and training by awarding funds to postdoctoral scientists for research visits between European countries or when justified worldwide. About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)

The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.

Co-funding: the European Union contributes €9.2M toward a total project budget of €23.0M — a funding rate of 40%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 3.7 years from 2014-11-10 to 2018-08-09.
