STARMAS Structured Training and Advanced Research in Marine Active Structures

Coordinator: SVEUCILISTE U ZAGREBU, FAKULTET STROJARSTVA I BRODOGRADNJE (HR)

In the last 25 years the total amount of marine trade has nearly doubled. In the same period the container trade has undergone a tenfold increase, making the container fleet the fastest growing fleet at present. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)

Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.

EU contribution: €158k awarded to the consortium. The project runs over approximately 2 years from 2016-05-01 to 2018-04-30.
