The mission of ESPESA project is to strengthen the research activity and to implement a Technology Transfer&Innovation Management strategy at Centre for Applied Research in Electrical Engineering and Sustainable Development (CAREESD), established in 2010 within Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. The project will reinforce the research potential of the Centre by improving/enhancing the expertise, competences and skills of its researchers and support staff, and by promoting the collaboration with leading EU research institutions sharing scientific interests. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
