This proposal aims to contribute to the transformation of Cyprus into a regional cultural heritage (CH) excellence hub, whereby technologically innovation and specialisation will have a prominent development role. To this end, key local public academic institutions and national policy makers / stakeholders are teaming with leading international institutions to lay the groundwork beneath an “Eastern Mediterranean Science and Technology Centre for Archaeology and Cultural heritage”, in short MedSTACH.MedSTACH’s mission and business strategy address Environmental Dimensions of Sustainable Growth…
About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
EU contribution: €400k awarded to the consortium. The project runs over approximately 1 year from 2017-09-01 to 2018-08-31.
