High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy represents the increasingly popular internal radiation therapy method commonly used as an effective treatment for cervical, prostate, breast, skin cancer and tumors. While HDR brachytherapy is relatively fast, safe and highly beneficial, its results are often corrupted by human error. It is essential to measure the radiation dose delivered to ensure a safe and effective delivery of the treatment plan. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
