World RePORT World RePORT Refresh, the Global Biomedical Research Project Database, Technology and Functionality, 2017 (Phase 2)
Coordinator: NET ESOLUTIONS CORPORATION (US)
The World RePORT is a database mapping the biomedical research projects supported by the major funders. It illustrates where the research is taking place. The World RePORT had an initial Pilot Phase focused only in sub-Saharan Africa (2011 – 2013). This initial version was upgraded in 2016 to make it more user-friendly and easier to search, with charts to summarize the information; to include all the regions of the World; to improve search; to add automatic statistics; to include filters to highlight research in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs); and to improve performance in accommodat…
About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
EU contribution: €69k awarded to the consortium. The project runs over approximately 0.5 years from 2017-08-01 to 2018-01-31.
