EU-SENSE European Sensor System for CBRN Applications

The EU-SENSE project will provide an innovative technical solution to deal with selected shortcomings in CBRNe protection indicated in the ENCIRCLE Catalogue of Technologies. The created system will be a step-forward in chemical detection by developing a novel network of sensors that exploits advanced machine-learning and modelling algorithms for improved performance. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
