LAMatCU Establishing Laboratory of Advanced Materials at the Comenius University

The key objective of this proposal is to establish a new Laboratory for Advanced Materials (LAM) at Comenius University (CU) under the direction of the appointed ERA Chair holder. LAM is meant to be a world-class research interdisciplinary laboratory focused on advanced materials research, particularly for applications in the areas such as energy conversion and storage, electronics, and optoelectronics. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
