Flight Phase Adaptive Aero-Servo-Elastic Aircraft Design Methods (FliPASED) opens a complete new dimension for the integrated aircraft design. Coupling between aeroelasticity, gust response, flight control methods, instrumentation and certification aspects is not exploited in current aircraft design. A common set of models, coupled with joint requirements enable a multidisciplinary-optimized design for the entire aircraft, leading to more optimized overall performance. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
