The objective of HUMANITIES ROCK is to bring researchers closer to the general public and to increase awareness of research and innovation activities, with a view to supporting the public recognition of researchers, creating an understanding of the impact of researchers' work on citizen’s daily life, and encouraging young people to embark on research careers. The University of Ljubljana consists of 26 faculties and academies from all fields of science, will celebrate 100 years of its existence next year. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €238k toward a total project budget of €393k — a funding rate of 61%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 1.7 years from 2018-04-01 to 2019-11-30.
