HUMAN_ERA Night European Researchers' Night in Cyprus: The Human Era

The HUMAN_ERA Night proposal aims at organising two events, one in 2018 in Limassol, and one in 2019 in Nicosia. Both events will be dedicated to the Human Era, a concept inspired from the fact that never before has the Earth been so affected by one species as is now by humans. Employing an anthropocentric approach, the HUMAN_ERA Night over the next two years aims to celebrate our Cultural Heritage (2018, on the occasion of the European Year of Cultural Heritage) and Life Sciences (2019) as two different mirrors reflecting the same image, human evolution. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €170k toward a total project budget of €215k — a funding rate of 79%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 1.6 years from 2018-05-01 to 2019-11-30.
