A rapid emergence of resistant bacteria occurs worldwide, endangering the efficacy of antibiotics, which have transformed medicine and saved millions of lives. The antibiotic resistance crisis has been attributed to the overuse and misuse of these medications. 700 000 patients die annually as a result of infections caused by antibiotic resistant bacteria. Due to a growing demand to substitute medicine and hazardous chemical usage in agriculture, Bioapplications developed the BioBalanced Farm Probiotic – a unique probiotics blend, which is misted in the facility, naturally excludes pathogenic …
About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation.
