The overall objective for this coordination and support action is to support the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform onBiodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) and the implementation of its work programme aiming to strengthen the science-policyinterface for biodiversity and ecosystem services for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, long-term human wellbeingand sustainable development. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €4.0M toward a total project budget of €5.0M — a funding rate of 80%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 4 years from 2019-05-01 to 2023-04-30.
