The superior idea of the NANOPLANT project is to build up the interdisciplinary research competence, scientific excellence, international visibility, intensity of collaborations and academia- industry partnerships at Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences (IPG PAS) by promoting a new cutting edge research area and creating the Department of Plant Nanotechnology. This project will enable us to attract top-class experts needed for the implementation of the new area of research and step up the scientific excellence. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
