The aim of the ECePS project – the ERA Chair in E-Governance and Digital Public Services is to strengthen the Center of IT Impact Studies (CITIS), a research unit within the Skytte Institute of Political Studies at the University of Tartu (UTARTU) so that it can act as a world leader in the field of research on e-governance, public e-services and data driven public innovation.We will do so by recruiting a leading expert in the field to serve as an ERA Chair for E-Governance and Digital Public Services who will in turn create a top-level research team capable of conducting cutting edge researc…
About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
EU contribution: €2.5M awarded to the consortium. The project runs over approximately 5.5 years from 2019-09-01 to 2025-02-28.
