Current supply of metal nanopowders on the world market falls short on demand up to 15% , creating further obstacles to the technical progress in such industries as aerospace manufacturing, power machinery, engineered materials production, metal welding, heavy machinery, civil engineering and others. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
