The main objective of the PhenolAcTwin project is to enhance the scientific and technological capacity of TUBITAK MRC Food Institute (FI) and to raise the research profile of the Institute and its staff in the field of dietary polyphenols and bioavailability/bioefficacy via networking with three leading European institutions such as CSIC, QIB, and INRAE.FI is a leading research center in the area of functional foods/nutraceuticals in Turkey. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
