The European Researchers´ Night (ERN) in Slovakia is the biggest science popularisation event taking place every year since 2007. It is a public event aiming to bring researchers closer to general public, showcase the diversity of science and its impact on citizens’ daily lives and stimulate interest in research careers, especially amongst young people. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
EU contribution: €225k awarded to the consortium. The project runs over approximately 0.8 years from 2020-05-01 to 2021-01-31.
