In 2019, Greece's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 5.2% compared to 2018, reaching 12.2%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.0%.
Greece ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 18.1% (from 14.9% in 2014).
