At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2001, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 30.8% compared to 2000, reaching 17.0%.

Italy ranks 12th out of 22 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.6% (from 18.0% in 1996).
