At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2019, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 5.9% compared to 2018, reaching 16.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.0%.

Italy ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 14.1% (from 14.2% in 2014).
