At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.3% compared to 2024, reaching 17.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Italy ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.4% (from 16.8% in 2020).
