At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2024, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.1% compared to 2023, reaching 17.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.6%.

Italy ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.6% (from 16.2% in 2019).
