At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2018, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.3% compared to 2017, reaching 17.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Portugal ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.3% (from 18.7% in 2013).
