Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2021, Spain's main indicators increased by 7.1% compared to 2020, reaching 46.0%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 37.8%.

Spain ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 25.4% (from 36.7% in 2016).
