Odense Municipality has a vision of being Denmark’s greenest metropolis.Odense Municipality and Water Centre South have a common goal for the project to reduce energy consumption and thus reduce CO2 emissions. The foundation for energy savings is the decoupling of rainwater from the wastewater system. At the same time, the city’s recreational elements must be promoted. About the Low-carbon economy objective

Thematic Objective 4 funds the low-carbon economy — renewable-energy capacity, energy efficiency in public buildings and housing, low-carbon urban mobility, smart grids and combined heat and power. It is the single largest climate strand of 2014–2020 Cohesion.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €1.2M toward a total project cost of €2.5M — a co-funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
