Cervical caves of excellence — sustainable management of natural heritage and karstic underground
The project’s launch of the ‘Cervault caves’ will be modern, innovative and integrated visitor destinations based on the values of sustainable management of natural heritage. The construction of the visitor infrastructure, the development of content and the implementation of educational and professional speculations for visitors created the basis of responsible and long-term management of the Cervania complex caves and the broader sites of the basedphenomenon. About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €7.1M toward a total project cost of €8.3M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
