Establishment of an accreditation system for hospital healthcare facilities
The quality of healthcare and patient safety are the priorities for the health development of the Republic of Croatia. the accreditation of hospitals in hospitals contributes to the development of healthcare quality. Croatia does not yet have a system for accreditation of these facilities. The realisation of this project will be put in place and an overall accreditation process will be carried out in 15 publicly owned hospitals. At least 3 hospitals are expected to be accredited. Following the development and implementation of this system, its institutional and financial viability is ensured.

Thematic Objective 11 supports more efficient public administration — capacity building of public bodies, anti-corruption measures, judicial-reform support, e-administration.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €1.6M toward a total project cost of €1.9M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
Kohesio is the European Commission's open-data platform for projects co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund Plus, the Cohesion Fund and the Just Transition Fund.
